I utilized culture based, EIA, and molecular methods for the isolation and identification of bacterial pathogens from clinical specimens and environmental samples.

As an undergraduate researcher on a team that studies microtubule binding proteins in dividing plant cells, I used basic and advanced lab techniques to conduct my research, including but not limited to: microscopy, PCR, enzymatic assays, and bacterial work. I have also gained experience with greenhouse work. In addition to physical research, my research was also conducted using computer programs and diving into scientific literature.

Serving as the welcoming first point of contact to COVID-19 vaccination patients. I facilitated appointments along with completing patient health screening and registration. I have contributed to internal research projects, looking at how to improve the registration process to increase the number of individuals being vaccinated.

In my role, I assisted residents with daily living tasks such as personal care, hygiene, eating, and housekeeping. Additionally I aided residents with mobility around the facility and engaging and supervising residents during planned activities. This was truly a great experience being a part of these residents lives every day and building relationships with them. Additionally, one thing I am proud of is I went above and beyond to learn at least 25 personal things about each resident in my care!
