Senior Oversea Sourcing Engineer
Current- Domestic Mass Production Management: Responsible for procurement management including main materials for lithium iron phosphate and Nickel Cobalt Manganese batteries, overall managed 12 suppliers, covering power, energy storage, and power-type active cathode materials. Following up on deliveries, initiate new material introduction changes based on supply, cost reduction needs, and supplier capacity/project demand BP, lead change meetings, and follow the change process. Achieved 0 hours of production line stoppage due to material issues and overall material cost reduction of 10%.- Overseas Sourcing Development: Analyzed the Free Trade agreement(FTA) and UK-EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement(TCA), determined the localization needs, proportions, timelines, and tariff penalties of active cathode materials. Conducted regional overseas supplier sourcing based on project needs, facilitated overseas inspections and deployment of domestic suppliers, planned short and long-term secondary raw material supply chain paths. Promoted communication with 14 suppliers, expanded the overseas supplier resource pool, and established 3 fixed suppliers cooperation relationship for 11 overseas projects in Europe/North America/Southeast Asia, building the Nickel Cobalt Manganese material supply chain.- Cost Reduction Improvement: Builted overseas supplier cost models based on supplier process/quotation information and overseas production cost factor research results, calculated & simulated regional cost prices, identified cost reduction opportunities. Evaluated supplier cost reasonableness in real-time based on upstream raw material market changes and local production cost factor research, achieved a comprehensive reduction of overseas material DDP price premium rate by 8% through process optimization and business negotiations.
