Job Scopes:1. Support on Delta’s industrial automation products including servo system (ASDA), inverter (VFD), touch screen (HMI), Programmable Logic Controller (DVP), temperature controller (DTA), timer/ counter/tachometer (CTA), power meter (DPM), energy management system(EMS) and etc.2. Designing of PLC’s ladders and HMI program based on customer’s requirements on project basis3. Troubleshooting on faulty Delta’s Industrial automation products4. Provide after-sales services for customer such as tuning, setting, warranty claim and etc.Experience Gained:1. Good team spirit and work closely with all the colleagues throughout the entire group of companies including KL HQ, Ipoh branch, Melaka branch, JB branch as well as principle from Taiwan (Delta Electronics) to bring the biggest revenues to the company2. Attended new product’s training in Delta Taiwan and conduct internal sharing/ training with colleagues3. Good communication skill in order to understand customer’s needs and to fulfill customer’s requirements respectively4. Good understanding on Delta’s Industrial automation products5. Being exposed to various industries like food & packaging, machine maker, semi-conductor, panel maker, system integrator and etc.6. Able to study datasheet, understand it and reapply the knowledge respectively on daily application support7. Presentation and demonstration on Delta’s industrial automation products with the specific demo tools during customer visits and events

Joined PGAT team to solve & improve factory yield with engineering know-how & POC.Project involved during internship period:1. Bin15 (failure bin due to contact issues) reduction project on test handler to increase the yield of production- Daily data recording and data analyzation to ensure the correct data is being recorded- Understanding the definition of each failure bin and react accordingly from the data acquired- Working closely with the test technician team to understand more from the failure obtained- Presentation of data in a simpler way and present to the team on the trend based on the data obtained daily- Predict the pattern based on the trend and react accordingly to reduce the failure bin and hence improve the yield of production2. Vacuum brush project for foreign material (FM) elimination in test handler- To reduce the cases where foreign material sticks on the unit and causing failure during testing- Eliminating foreign materials on JEDEC tray, unit, test socket and etc3. Design-on-experiment (DOE) on Diamond-like Coated (DLC) pin on test socket of Test Interface Unit- Filled the test socket with Diamond-like Coated Pin and ran through respective cycles of testing using cycler machine as well as running them in test handler machine- Observed the condition of pin after certain cycles under scope to check the wear and tear of those pins and compare with the normal pins- Data is recorded and shared with the team4. Organizing Committee of Tech Fest 2015 for Intel Penang Assembly & Test (Intel PGAT)- Planning of the event including agenda/foods/prizes/etc- Getting members to join the contest- Arrangement of event hall and man powerExperience gained during internship:• Familiar with Delta Design Pyramid Test Handler• Data collection & root cause analysis skill• Data collection from CrystalBall, ATTD Yield, CATTS, Pin Finder and etc.
