Assistant Master Audio Engineer
Current- Oversee all production audio, video and stage communication to ensure smooth operation of rehearsals, performances, and special events.- Operation and maintenance of audio, video, network and intercom systems shared by multiple tenants of the War Memorial Opera House. - Define long-term planning needs to achieve theatrical excellence. Project management including proposals, estimating costs including labor, developing ideas to meet production needs and follow through to completion. - Supervise a crew of four audio engineers to provide AV support for artists, production crew and musical staff. - Continually assess technical capabilities and motivate crews through new challenges fostering growth. Recognize conflict areas and mitigate concerns between production and crew. - Documenting show notes, cue sheets, maintenance procedures, checklists, equipment inventory and databasing of audio and video signal patches.- Establish procedures for system checks, daily operations and fulfillment of rehearsal requests. - Mitigate human errors thorough effective cross-checks and task documentation.- Improve communication utilizing cloud-based communication systems such as calendaring and databases for inventory and show notes. - Engineering, installation and commissioning of new AV networking and wiring. Successful installation of new AV systems at the Wilsey Center, and the War Memorial Opera House Koret Media Suite, and migration from analog to digital backbone AV and intercom infrastructure.
