Antimicrobial Centre of Biomedical EngineeringSupervisor: Prof. Chan Bee Eng, Mary- Measured the antibacterial properties and solution properties of various polymers under different conditions for the P&G collaboration project using microbial techniques such as bacteria incubation, plating, OD600 reading, and so on.- Investigated the resistance of bacteria to various antibiotics and synthetic polymers via the MIC method and synergy study.- Analyzed and interpreted data using Microsoft Office.

- Investigated the use of Pickering emulsifiers in fragrance encapsulation and determined the possible parameters that affect the particle size distribution, the viscosity, and the performance of the encapsulation products.- Developed reliable protocols for deposition measurement and studied the deposition behavior of fragrance capsules by designing a series of sensory and analytical experiments.- Improved the efficiency of a fragrance accord in hand-wash products against food malodors by chemical reactions. Conducted sensory tests with analytical validations to generate a list of active fragrance ingredients for future formulation development.
