The work of my PhD is focused on the intelligence and electrification of public transportation.Firstly, I explored the optimization of infrastructure deployment and wrote a journal article entitled “Consolidating Bus Charger Deployment and Fleet Management for Public Transit Electrification: A Life-Cycle Cost Analysis Framework”, which was published in Engineering.Next, the issue of charging schedules for electric vehicles was explored and a paper entitled 'On the role of battery degradation in en-route charge scheduling for an electric bus system' was published in Transportation Research Part E: Logistics and Transportation Review.Then the flexible transportation methods are discussed with an eye to integrated logistics and public transport with a paper entitled 'Optimization of Electric Bus Scheduling for Mixed Passenger and Freight Flow in an Urban-Rural Transit System' which was published in IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems.In addition, I have published research results on flexible charging methods such as vehicle-to-vehicle charging, vehicle routing for emergency rescue, analysis and prediction of vehicle energy consumption, and last-mile delivery by air-ground collaboration.

I worked as a key project member on the project "Green shipping network system modeling and optimization method." • Proposed mixed flow (passenger and cargo) transport mode and ground-air coordinated parcel delivery mode• Formulated innovative mixed flow logistics strategy in MIP model and solved via CPLEX in seconds, reduced the infrastructure costs by 90% in the distribution network• Reduced parcel delivery time by 86.5% and road traffic by 8.6%, bringing $6.67 billion in annual social benefits to Beijing by implementing a “drone + social vehicle” delivery mode
