I am a media researcher, multimedia journalist, and media innovator with a passion for exploring new ways to engage audiences. My career spans over eight years of covering foreign news for TV, radio, and online platforms. Currently, I am a doctoral student at the University of Missouri School of Journalism, specializing in media sociology and audience research.As a co-creator of an engaged journalism startup in Lithuania, I was instrumental in shaping the model, implementing strategies, and managing the community while also editing long-form reporting. My experience combines hands-on journalism with innovation, focusing on building meaningful connections between newsrooms and audiences.I worked as a video producer and editor at Voice of America in Washington, D.C., produced Global Journalist, a weekly international affairs radio program on KBIA (Mid-Missouri’s NPR affiliate), covered migration for Deutsche Welle in Germany and foreign news for Lithuanian National Television and Radio.I hold a Master’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Missouri, where I began my studies as a Fulbright Scholar, and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Vilnius University.I thrive at the intersection of journalism, innovation, and audience engagement, bringing creative ideas to life to foster trust and meaningful dialogue in media.
