Based in 'Asda', Leeds, I Business Partnered the Non-Edible Grocery buying team from buyer to senior director level with shared accountability for >£3bn business. As the lead business partner, I was involved in setting the strategic direction, identifying opportunities and providing insights whilst supporting and challenging the buying team. My role included:• Performance monitoring and improvement• Influencing key decision making and challenging buying teams• Ownership of projects across Food Trading Finance• Developing new data visualizations and insights• Supporting buying teams in adopting more efficient ways of working

I was part of 'Smart Spend' program which was aimed at efficiently reducing business's SG&A cost base. I provided the business owners with operational analysis and a healthy challenge and achieved a sustainable ~10% cost reduction. My role in this project included: • Analysing, identifying and finalising a number of cost reduction opportunities • Performing Value Targeting to identify “choices” which optimize cost base through proven hypothesis (consumption, price and specification)• Managing series of cross functional workshops to facilitate ideation, quantification and validation of transformation initiatives. • Collaborating with Logistics, E-Commerce, Procurement, Compliance and Finance teams.

Based in 'Asda', Leeds and part of the Walmart Global Audit Team, I was responsible for managing the delivery of assurance and advisory based work across different areas of business including Supply, Trading, Logistics, E-Commerce, Compliance, Procurement and Clothing. I managed a portfolio of global audit clients including Danaher Corporation, De'Longhi S.p.A, Springer Nature Group and Huhtamaki Oyj. In addition to audit work, I did a secondment at Johnson Controls International plc where I worked as their Manager Finance UK Shared Services. My main responsibilities included:• Managing end to end audit process • Application of audit methodology and identification/assessment of risks• Technical accounting evaluation / application – IFRS, US & UK GAAP• Internal Controls review including ICFR, COSO & SOX• Financial Statements review• Multi-location project management• Data Analytics• Financial Reporting / Management – Was seconded to Johnson Controls International plc to work as their UK Finance Manager where I was responsible for Financial Statement Close and Reporting as well as Financial Management of 6 statutory entities.

Communicated relevant matters to safeguard smooth execution of the audit process. Delegated the work, oversaw jobs, reviewed team work, substantiated team’s conclusions, conducted performance reviews, accounted the financial transactions, and delivered feedback to all level of staff.

I was seconded to Jeddah office in Saudi Arabia for four months where I supported the senior manager and partner by leading three different audit engagements. I demonstrated agility and took minimal onboarding time in the overseas market which was key in delivering these audit projects timely and successfully.
