Core Skills: Electron (Node.js, JavaScript, HTML, CSS), Python, Project Management Core Tasks and Achievements:* Received a Sony Imageworks Innovation Award for my work redesigning a legacy tool in a new language. * Independently built a secure internal media notebook app in Electron (Node.js, JavaScript, HTML, CSS), Docker, Git and Python with over 50+ features, 2 languages, and 300+ internal users, in under 8 months.* Lead user research, meeting with internal users across 5 departments, as well as 3 department heads. * Regularly presented product for feedback, presenting to over 30 stakeholders, including senior executives, over the course of development. * Self-taught Electron fast, moving from novice to first deliverable within 2 weeks. * Coordinated learning sharing with my team and department, presenting a crash course in Electron to over 50 colleagues. * Collaborated with senior non-technical stakeholders to create a comprehensive design roadmap that met user’s needs within budget and time constraints.* Designed potential database prototypes in UML, Git and open source and internal software to meet changing user needs and technical constraints.Having the chance to work at Sony for my second co-op was invigorating. I jumped in to fulfill a need within the company, the refresh of a legacy tool. To deliver the product I had to learn a new language and tool stack on the fly, coordinate user feedback meetings, create and tweak the roadmap, and, of course, build the application. While my work earned me a Imageworks Innovation Award, I think what I’m most proud of for my time at Sony is that I was able to support my team’s growth. I was the first person in the department to learn Electron and I was able to share my skills with the team, which allowed them to successfully launch a number of new projects in Electron.
