I started as a Research Officer at the Victorian Electoral Commission in Melbourne, where I worked on the development of the VEC's website from conception to go live. I moved to the UK and started at City & Guilds, first as a Business Improvement Administrator, then as a SmartScreen Project Support Officer in the e-Learning Department. I coordinated the testing of SmartScreen (a site providing tutor and learner support for vocational qualifications) before its launch, training editors on the CMS, developing e-Tutor standards, and preparing processes. I was promoted to Content Coordinator, when I became responsible for commissioning, developing and uploading content. After 4 years I was promoted to Senior Development Editor, which I did for over 4 years. I continued to project manage SmartScreen content generation, and line managed the Content Support Officer. In January 2012 I moved to The National Archives where I worked on a project to develop the content for the new Archives Sector section of their website. I then went on to work on a project to improve the site search.After a period of maternity leave, I took up the role of Practice Administrator for an Architectural Practice. Since 2015 I have been studying to become a breastfeeding supporter and I have been volunteering at support groups. I am now working as the Administrator for the Camden Baby Feeding Team.
