I'm an interdisciplinary researcher working across nutrition, population health and social sciences. My portfolio of work aims to improve our understanding of maternal health and nutrition to develop interventions that improve outcomes for women and babies before, during and after pregnancy. My research primarily focuses on community settings; I am currently working closely with local authorities, and voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise organisations whilst adopting mixed methods with a particular interest in qualitative and co-development approaches. This work is leading me to engage in conversations around how we can strengthen multisector partnerships and embed greater community engagement within research to address health inequalities. My current fellowship explores food insecurity both during and after pregnancy in collaboration with Lambeth Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC).
