As the Communications Assistant for the Robert L. Heilbroner Center for Capitalism Studies (HCCS)I fastidiously produced event communications, invitations, tracked RSVPs, and coordinated day-of event logistics like catering, room reservation, and tech support. I created over 30 sessions and provided support for 40 volunteer moderators to ensure the transparency and effectiveness of the series. I used a complicated excel to ensure each session has a diverse group of colleagues from across the globe with different professional levels and with gender parity, a Teams space called "Dialogues Moderators" that I helped organize and compiled documents and tools for moderators to use as resources and support the coordination of their sessions, and a shared mailbox on Outlook to send out invites and address questions from moderators. I also sent out weekly invites for initiatives under the Innovation Hub, a project to empower staff, create safe spaces in which creativity and innovation can thrive, ensure broad buy-in, and change long-held mindsets and behaviours both at the personal and institutional level. I continuously corresponded with moderators as I address questions, option solutions, and help facilitate events as needed. I frequently drafted and sent out emails to our moderator pool, and drafted articles for our various initiatives. I also tracked the data (i.e. the number of sessions per theme, attendance, and moderator participation, among others) from the dialogues series to address any pain points and guarantee continuous improvement. I also coordinated Innovation Day which exposes United Nations staff to new ideas, processes, behaviours, and concepts. These weekly briefings cover a wide variety of innovative and creative topics. Developed a proficient understanding of Microsoft Office with advanced Excel knowledge during my internship at the honors college. I utilized Excel and filemaker to track all the current matches in the Mentoring with Honors series and put students interested in rematching back into our system. I also used this data to pull out any alumni and students not active in the program. I also sent out monthly emails with articles and resources to all alumni and students in the program. Excellent verbal/written communication and organizational skills, proofreading, fact-checking skills via the events and programs I coordinated. I created an orientation packet and infographic for students to use a resource which I supplied during the several Mentoring with Honors orientations I held for new participants every fall semester.
