I joined the commercial property team at Tyr in June 2024 as a legal director. I deal with a broad spectrum of commercial property transactions and have acted for a diverse portfolio of clients, including individuals, companies, partnerships, pension funds and charities.In addition to dealing with acquisitions and disposals of commercial property, I have experience of landlord and tenant work (acting for both property owners and corporate occupiers) including drafting and negotiating complex agreements and leases together with various ancillary lease transaction documents. I have provided advice to a wide range of clients, advising in the industrial, office, retail and leisure sectors (including hotels and bars). I regularly act for both property investors and also corporate occupiers who have large portfolios of properties.Although I have worked in the legal sector since 2002 I previously worked in a number of different fields, ranging from legal publishing to investment banking. This prior experience enables me to take a pragmatic and commercial approach to advising clients.Specialisms: • Commercial leases in a variety of different sectors, including industrial, office, retail and leisure sectors• Property portfolio acquisitions and ongoing management work for investors• Buying and disposing of business property (whether freehold or leasehold), including conditional contracts, option agreements and overage agreements• Property aspects of corporate transactions (including restructurings and mergers and acquisitions)• Property finance and secured lending
