Current1991 to present --Senior Post Production Editor / Post Production Supervisor / Digital Media AdministratorResponsible for project coordination, supervision of editing, and graphical compositing on all commercial, promotion, and programming production. Personally produced promotion of HDTV as a new media alternative, writing, shooting, and editing commercials and programming to attract viewers to this new media choice from1998 to 2002 . Coined the phrase, “High Definition, a whole new way of looking at television.”Served as producer / coordinator on several station image projects over a twenty-year period, providing photographic and on-location lighting expertise, as well as graphic creation and animation compositing plus audio soundtrack creation work for the editing phases of production. Received two NATAS Mid-South Regional Emmy Awards for Lighting on the 2007 WRAL-TV News Opens, and “Day After Day” WRAL News Image Promotion in 2011.2002 to 2010 -- Led the way in the conversion to tapeless television production at WRAL-TV. Became an expert user of all Apple based graphic production tools – Final Cut Pro, Motion, and Soundtrack, as well as Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Encore. Introduced the Canon 5D Mark II in 2010 to the production team, and currently involved in training them in DSLR shooting and creating cinematic work for television, rather than simple “video”.
