It’s a pleasure to meet you!My passion for applied problem-solving and collaborative research has been honed throughout my academic and professional journey. With hopes of solving major problems in STEM, I am proud to be bridging academia and industry through NEXQ and contuing my mathematical oncology research with Dr. Russell Rockne and Dr. Ryan Woodall. Dr. Quan Jason Cheng Laboratory Of Biosensing (Department Of Analytical Chemistry)
Conducted research with Postdoctoral Fellow, Dr. Alexander Malinick under Dr. Quan Jason Cheng with a focus on the application of surface plasmon resonance (SPR) for disease detection and the characterization of complex biophysical interactions. Contributed to various scientific research projects such as the development of curved membrane biomimicry and the effects of nanoplastics and lanthanides on lipid membranes. Presented a new project on the effects of nanoplastics on C. elegans. Received hands-on training and experiences with lipid extraction, e-beam deposition, nano-spr, machine learning, Microsoft Excel, and data analysis. Quantitative data analysis consisted of, but was not limited to, SPR reports, MALDI-TOF-MS reports, and computationally docked molecules, such as gangliosides, proteins, and enzymes.
Nsf Macreu R'Side Summer '22 Fellowship
Applied fundamental techniques such as SPR, e-beam evaporation, and machine learning on biophysical studies related to the effects of nanoplastics on lipid membranes throughout the entirety of the MacREU Fellowship Program under Dr. Quan Jason Cheng and Alexander Malinick.
