In this role, Polygence has recruited me to work with their high school students on how best to apply their research, knowledge and individuality to their college applications. I meet with students and their families to find if research is a good fit for them, and act as a guide in the research and application process. Additionally, I work to create content with Polygence and help gain more applicants.

As director of logistics for Tufts Mock Trial, I coordinate and organize everything necessary to run a large and successful mock trial program. This entails organizing case information, competition materials and other logistical tasks.

In this role, I compete as a Tufts Mock Trial Competitor around the country as both a trial attorney and witness.

At the Met Opera, I work within the Archives Department. Along with a team of two other interns, we work to organize and file the archives of the opera dating back to its origin. We work to create a proper catalog system and organize the collections accordingly.

Fiveable is a company dedicated to creating resources and provide services to best aide students to not only score high on standardized exams but feel confident taking them. As a Student Cram Host, I was tasked with creating content along side 4 other students and a teacher to best prepare students to take the AP English Literature Exam. The “Crams” were three hour long sessions for the five nights leading up to the exam. As a Student Cram Host, who had previously taken this exam and got a 5 using Fiveable materials it was my responsibility to prepare over 500 students with my team.

Through the NYC Bar Association’s Thurgood Marshall Program, I was allotted the opportunity to intern at one of NYC’s top tier law firms. With specializations in Activism, Advertising, Corporate and Litigation Law, I have been exposed to all different facets of the legal system. Assisting lawyers and paralegals, I got the opportunity to interact wth legal jargon and documents expanding my horizons indefinitely.

Using Polygence resources and an individualized mentor, I was able to conduct and publish my own research. My research focused on “Racial Stereotypes in Youth Media,” meaning how the integration of racial stereotypes in the writing and portrayal of media aimed at children is incorporating societal stereotypes and the damage that can cause to our youth.

A summer internship where we immersed ourselves in different areas of justice through intense conversation and community building.
