The CCRB is the largest civilian oversight organization of police activity in the United States. Investigators are tasked with conducting investigations into allegations of misconduct against sworn NYPD officers, and making a fact-based recommendation based on a preponderance of the evidence standard of their assessment of the facts at the conclusion of the investigation.

Rydan involved a significant amount of quick-reaction, independent work. I conducted field-work, target surveillance, security assessments both of locations and individuals, and conducted longer-term due diligence investigations of potential corporate hires.

My work on the Western Jihadism Project involved work with transferring an existing database structure in excel into a more usable format. I also worked with the palantir platform to create data visualizations, conducted secondary research into terrorist activities and profiles, and worked within the team to oversee data quality.
