I have built a diverse background in law, policy and advocacy. I hold a Bachelor of Laws/Arts (Psychology Major) from Bond University, and Applied Neuroscience MSc (Distinction) from King's College London.Over the next decade, genomic medicine is set to impact effectively every branch of healthcare in Australia and around the world. As the Equity and Advocacy Lead at the Centre for Population Genomics (CPG), I develop and drive policy, advocacy and engagement strategies for CPG both externally and internally, as well as contribute to the management and growth of CPG. At CPG, we are collectively working towards a more equitable future for genomic medicine at transformative, population scale.Prior to joining the senior leadership team at CPG, I was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland and Victoria and practised as a startup, tech and privacy lawyer. I then joined Victoria's Department of Health as a senior policy adviser to support critical state-wide COVID-19 response policy and Ministerial priorities. I subsequently led multicultural health policy at the Department where I advocated for and advised on budget initiatives and State/Federal policy development to improve health outcomes for migrant, refugee and asylum seeker communities.
