I joined this internship as a translator and did it for 2 months. During that time, I translated 8 articles with 2 classmates who joined with me. It was quite interesting and made me feel more confident with English.

Audit software, provide guidance on writing secure code and give presentation. Major duties consist of the following:• Provide guidance (education, awareness, processes, and tooling) to colleagues and educate within my company• Perform SAST(Static Application Security Testing) on Web applications developed with Java, C#, PHP• Consult how to make secure code in web applications based on SAST and DAST• Train and mentor many software engineers in security techniques and university students • Communicate with technical support teams from Contrast Security to look into the features and mechanisms of Contrast Team Server and how to integrate it with other automation Tools such as JIRA, FindBugs and Jinkins• Make the integrated environment, demonstrate it in conferences and give presentation to customers about the products as a presales engineer • Use many kinds of automated commercial SAST tools such as Fortify, Checkmarx, and other static analysis tools on applications in Korea• Work with product teams developing financial systems to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities in source code • Have Experiences in Information Assurance and security engineering principles involving application security (secure coding)• Have knowledge of how to use automated application DAST tools such as Acunetix and AppScan• Familiar with OWASP Application Security Verification Standard (ASVS) and how it applies to application development teams• Have knowledge of manual assessment tools such as HTTP Proxies (BurpSuite, OWASP ZAP, Paros), fuzzers and other commercial and open source tools• Have experiences of Configuration Management and Automation tools, including JIRA, Subversion and Jenkins

Establish and educate the secure coding standards for the Korean government. Major duties consist of the following:• Provide guidance and best practices to all engineering regarding secure web application development• Participate in writing and establishing Korean national standards on software security• Participate in internal security testing, security audits, code review and unit test review sessions• Experience with threat modeling and security design review methodologies• Research, update, and verify security flaws and weakness for new standards• Provide technical content and guides for technical documentation and public servant training• Perform application penetration testing against defined industry standards (CWE, OWASP Top 10, SANS Top) and Korean Government security standard• Research DoD system requirements, risk management framework (RMF), and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)• Have Knowledge and experience with NIST, ISO 27001, or related standards

Support the overall operation of sever applications such as iPlanet websever, LDAP and WAS in systems of our customer. Major duties consist of the following:• Install, configure and maintain iPlanet webserver, LDAP server and WAS for customer's systems• Respond to client inquiries and conduct trouble-shooting on their server application and systems• Migrate database from mySQL to Oracle and perform database tuning on Oracle• Develop web site for our customer with Java/JSP
