#SgEatWithUs is a Grounds-Up Movement by a team of passionate Singaporeans who hope to bring communities together through home-cooked food. We see home-cooked food as a key ingredient to bring the communities together by extending the family bond with the different communities to build a stronger and united Singapore and to achieve #SgEatWithUs’s vision of ‘Our Family, Our Community, Our Singapore’. Food is Love “你吃饱了吗?” Food is a language of love. A simple and delicious home-cooked meal prepared by families and friends goes a long way to show care for one another. Food is our identity We belief that food is central to Singapore’s identity. We talk about it in our conversations, go about pursuing good food in Singapore and share our special dishes with family and friends. It plays a pivotal role in our life and its something that all of us have in common with one another. Food brings People together We see the importance of food as a motivator in bringing people together. By talking and sharing tips about food and coming together to enjoy a meal, we acknowledge and value the friendships we have with each other. #SgEatWithUs is a movement to get Singaporeans to share their home-cooked local dishes with the community for a day. There will be 4 pop-up food carnivals at specific locations organised to celebrate Singapore’s 50th birthday. We hope to create a culture of sharing where people of different ethology in the community can come together to serve, share and relate to one another.
