John focuses on branding, marketing strategies and writing (because, as he points out, "I write really good!"). Prior to starting 14th Floor, John spent over 20 years in Marketing Director/VP/SVP roles for such market leaders as Dial (America's #1 bar and liquid soap), the E & J Gallo Winery (America's #1 winery), Cobra Electronics (America's #1 radar detector and CB radio company) and Hu-Friedy Mfg. (America's #1 dental instrument company). Despite - and because of - his success on the "client side," in 2007 John decided to indulge his passions for strategic planning, brand-building and copywriting by starting strategic marketing agency 14th Floor Solutions. Many of these clients - which range from start-ups to divisions of multi-billion dollar international companies and include both B2B and B2C companies - have been clients for seven or more years. The majority of these clients are manufacturers of medical and/or dental products. Despite their diversity, all of these clients have two things in common: first, a product or service line-up delivering benefits that are unique or, at the very least, meaningfully superior to their competitors'; and second, comprehensive messaging and support programs crafted by 14th Floor to clearly and memorably convey their uniqueness or superiority to their target audience.
