The Greater New Orleans Chapter of the American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and one of eight chapters in the Southwest Region.
MISSION
Our mission is to provide energy professionals, executives, entrepreneurs, and students a pathway to learn and grow within the energy industry through mentoring and educational programs; entrepreneurial outreach; community service initiatives and networking events.
OVERVIEW
AABE GNO is headquartered in New Orleans, Louisiana. The GNO Chapter welcomes professionals and businesses from all energy and energy-related fields (oil, gas, electricity, nuclear, renewable, government, technology, energy services, and hydro) to join our chapter. We believe that each of these disciplines provide our membership and community with a broader knowledge of the varied and unique aspects of the energy industry. Additionally, we encourage college students at accredited institutions who are studying in energy related fields; or planning to pursue careers in the energy industry to participate in AABE.
