AAHS was established as a delivery platform to facilitate private investment by superannuation fund Hesta into the Affordable and Community Housing sector. The Company aims to make a meaningful social impact, not only through providing capital to the sector, but also to develop investable models that address social and affordable housing challenges. Since inception, AAHS has grown to be one of the largest Approved Participants in the delivery of affordable rental housing for low to moderate income households under the National Rental Affordability Scheme (NRAS). With a proven governance framework and wealth of experience in NRAS compliance, AAHS is responsible for the management of over 4,500 properties across the country on behalf of its investors and external investors utilising AAHS compliance services. AAHS has established a well-deserved reputation as a leader within the Affordable Housing sector. AAHS is also a holder of an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) and is licensed to issue and deal in securities, and to act as a Responsible Entity to Managed Investment Funds. AAHS, through its partners, intends to develop innovative financial products to assist low to moderate income households achieve home ownership and to deliver homes for people with a disability.
