Aakaar is Asia's Largest Annual Festival of the Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Bombay. Mission To provide the launching platform to budding civil engineers. An opportunity for young guns enveloping the wide diversities of civil engineering - a pedestal to present ideas, a stage to show off designs, a playpen to re-build the blocks. Description Aakaar announced itself on the national stage in 2009 when a group of like-minded students of the Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Bombay, put their heart and mind into giving civil engineering its due. Since then, Aakaar has gone on to become the undisputed front-runner among civil engineering festivals in India.
