ABASA (Association for the Advancement of Black Accountants in South Africa) is a professional society that promotes the interests of black workers in the accounting and finance industry.
As ABASA UP Student Chapter, we strive to fulfil the ideals of our student organization, which are all linked to the professional emancipation of black accountants in South Africa.
objectives
1. To promote the interest of students aspiring to be accountants ,and future business leaders.
2. To embark on programs and activities that create access to information and opportunities for University of Pretoria students to enter the accounting profession.
3. To develop leadership and professional skills of our members.
4. To represent and address the needs of academic problems affecting students in general at the university.
5. To be a networking channel between the students and the corporate world.
