APO has been contracted by North Queensland Export Terminal to manage the operations at the port of Abbot Point – Australia’s most northerly coal port – 25 kilometres north of Bowen, between Townsville to the north and Mackay to the south.
With the systems, people and infrastructure to handle Abbot Point’s nameplate capacity of 50 million tonnes of coal annually, APO helps deliver Queensland coal to the world.
In meeting the needs of Queensland coal producers, we prioritise the safety of everyone on site and protection of our local environment while creating jobs and supporting local community programs.
