ABIEL srl - Industrial and Biomedical Applications of Lytic Enzymes- is a spin-off of the University of Palermo and CNR. It is specialized in the research and in the production of lytic enzymes for cell therapy and regenerative medicine.
ABIEL’s objectives are the study, research, development, production and commercialization of biotechnology products with particular attention to lytic enzymes obtained by synthesis or extraction procedures to be used for cell therapy and regenerative medicine.
The Company is composed by a multidisciplinary team of qualified scientists and professionals in the field of enzymes and microbiology, by endocrinologists specialized in cell therapy and regenerative medicine, and by specialists in monitoring and business development.
It works and cooperates with prestigious national and international societies including The Diabetes Research Institute of Miami, Life Sciences Capital, Niguarda Ca’ Granda Hospital, CNR-IAMC and the University of Palermo.
Our mission is to develop, produce and commercialize new molecules and substances active in the lysis of the extracellular matrix. We are specially interested in new enzymes that are capable of optimizing tissue digestion procedures with particular regard to the field of regenerative medicine. In addition we aim to become a leader in the research and industrial production of lytic enzymes through the constant applied research and the worldwide sales of our innovative products.
