AbodesJoy trains and empowers diverse learners – women, nonbinary people, and transgender people – in home repair to build skills, confidence, and community. Our vision: Home is vital to humans. We envision a world where women, nonbinary, and transgender people feel: - Inspired to create comfortable and joyful living spaces; - Empowered to sustain, improve, and give back to their communities; - Equipped to negotiate with contractors and home repair companies; - That they possess skills and literacy toward home equity and economic mobility; and - Confident that they can do more than they previously thought possible.
