AC3 is a licensed and Cal-OSHA accredited service contractor. We have been owned and operated by Scott and Heidi McLeod since 1989. Lineage to the crane industry go as far back at 1913 with Scott’s Grandfather Henry Bigge. Service lines and qualifications include the following:
Maintenance, inspection, repair, and testing of high rise and midrise building façade access equipment including Building Maintenance Units (BMU’s), powered platforms, sockets and davits, and fall arrest anchor systems. Customers include but are not limited to Boston Properties, CBRE, Cushman & Wakefield, Shorenstein, The Sobrato Organization, Paramount Group, Dolby, Swig, and Brookfield to name a few.
Annual inspection, quadrennial proof load testing, and dielectric testing of mobile cranes, overhead cranes and aerial access equipment. Customers include Travis Air Force Base, Lockheed Martin, Everport, CalTrans, SSA, MCM, City of Santa Cruz, Clark Construction, and various wineries.
Nondestructive testing of Container Cranes, RTG Cranes, and other lifting apparatus. Testing procedures include visual, magnetic particle, and ultrasonic testing. Procedures are performed by an AC3 QC1 weld and ASNT Level II inspector. Monitorization is by an AC3 ASNT Level III inspector.
Qualifications – State of California Contractors License # 647234 in categories A, C-10, and C-61. Cal-OSHA accreditation # SIT-2 for work described in item 1. CAL-osha accreditation# CA-231 for work described in item 2. USDL accreditation under CFR1919 for work described in items 2 and 3. Over 30 years of industry experience. Fully trained technicians who are members of Millwright Local 102 labor union.
