Academic Coaching Specialists

Our program is both strategic and customized. Students begin with a “coachability assessment”, which includes personality and learning style testing. This allows for a better understanding between the coach and student, optimizing the experience for both. Students meet with an academic coach from ACS, either in person on their campus, or on-line. The student and coach work together with parents as partners in transitioning to this new environment. The coach remains throughout the semester, meeting weekly with the student to review key concepts such as time management, note-taking and test-taking strategies. The coach is a resource who offers support to the student and their parents as they navigate through their first semester. Additional services beyond the first semester are available as well.
