ACOM CONSUMER FINANCE CORPORATION was established in the Philippines in July 2017 under the synergistic joint venture of ACOM CO., LTD. (headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) and ITOCHU CORPORATION (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo).
ACOM Co., Ltd. (Japan) is our parent company and the major shareholder, which held 80.00 % of its total shares. It was incorporated in 1978 and subsequently listed on the first section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange in 1996. The company conducts four main businesses representing: (i) Loan and Credit Card Business (ii) Guarantee Business (iii) Loan Servicing Business (iv) Overseas Financial Business.
ITOCHU CORPORATION, an industry giant with approximately 100 bases in 62 countries, is engaged in domestic trading, import/export, and overseas trading of various products such as textiles, machinery, metals, minerals, energy, chemicals, food, general products, realty, information and communications technology, and finance, as well as business investment in Japan and overseas.
ACOM was interested in entering into the consumer finance business in Thailand and also has gained the trust from its joint venture partners to take a major role in management and operation due to its expertise and experience in a similar type of business in Japan.
