Action Analytics is a diverse, student-run organization at the University of Michigan that uses decades of statistical data to accurately predict the outcomes of sporting events.
Using Python and HTML, we automatically import real-time data into our Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, where we then apply statistical analysis to formulate advanced adjusted statistics and relative power rankings. Margin of victory and winning probability are then calculated through linear and bi-directional (stepwise) regressions.
