Activate Green Trust

Activate Green is a visionary environmental organization dedicated to creating a sustainable future through the empowerment and education of local communities. Our initiatives focus on mobilization efforts, including educational empowerment at local children's homes and schools. Founded at Brookhouse Schools in Kenya, Activate Green has grown significantly under the leadership of Thayu Wainaina and has expanded its reach globally. Notable projects include the Grade 12 Residential Service Project and the annual tree planting sessions at Brookhouse Schools. Our focus also extends to environmental restoration through annual waste management drives and tree planting projects, funded by our waste paper collection strategy. We proudly align our efforts with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those related to climate action (SDG 13). Through these initiatives, we aim to create a sustainable, clean future that empowers vulnerable communities in low-income countries. We are pleased to align our initiatives with specific United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 13 (Climate Action). Our focus includes: ● SDG 13.3: Enhancing education, awareness, and human and institutional capacity on climate change mitigation, adaptation, impact reduction, and early warning systems. ● SDG 13.b: Promoting mechanisms for raising capacity for effective climate change-related planning and management in least developed countries and small island developing states, with a particular emphasis on women, youth, and local and marginalized communities.
