Founded in 2018, ActivCare Training was born out of a recognition of the unmet need for physical activity and wellbeing training within the Health and Social Care sector. Our mission is to empower care professionals to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those they support, helping them create environments that foster both physical and mental wellbeing.
With courses utilised by individuals and care institutions across the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and the US, ActivCare has become a global leader in training that blends dance, wellbeing, and care. From dementia-friendly activity planning to accessible fitness and mindfulness programmes, our courses cater to a wide range of needs, enabling professionals to integrate innovative care practices into their work.
In March 2023, ActivCare Training became the training branch of Nuvo Wellbeing, an award-winning social enterprise. This partnership allows us to combine ActivCare’s accredited global training expertise with Nuvo’s experience and local connections to target communities with the highest barriers to learning. We are committed to breaking down these barriers and ensuring that everyone—regardless of background, prior training, or location—has access to the tools they need to improve wellbeing.
ActivCare’s journey started with our work providing dance sessions to vulnerable adults in social care and community settings, which highlighted a clear gap in accessible, affordable training for care professionals and the wider community. With a passionate team of industry experts, we developed a range of online courses, making it possible for anyone, regardless of experience, to improve their own wellbeing and that of those around them.
