Acts Trust

Founded by Alive Church in 2006, Acts Trust's mission is to empower people to end poverty in Lincoln. Empowering people means that we recognise and unlock the potential in people to overcome their own challenges. For example, giving someone a food parcel helps address a crisis but it's the work we do to help that person deal with the underlying cause of their food poverty that moves them towards a position of empowerment. Our vision is not just focused on individuals, but also transformation of communities; people living together and thriving together, communities without division or with people feeling excluded. This is also a vision for us as a team: we feel empowered to act against injustice, to make a difference and together we become a community that thrives under our sense of purpose. The majority of our funding is from the generous Christian community and it allows us to provide the local services listed below which are accessible to anyone that needs them.
