Acumen - International Kangaroo Competitions Qatar

Acumen conducts International Kangaroo Conmpetitions in Schools all over Qatar under license from AKSF - Association of Kangourou sans Frontières (www.aksf.org). We conduct the following international competitions for grades 1-12th: 1) International Kangaroo Mathematics Competition (IKMC) 2) International Kangaroo Science Competition (IKSC) 3) International Kangaroo Linguistics Competition (IKLC) These Competitions are aimed to increase international competence of schools by giving intellectual, scientific, mathematic and linguistic challenges. These Competition are held in 120+ countries on the same day. Participating in these competitions raise educational standards and grants international recognition to schools. It promotes a culture of excellence and intellectual curiosity, contributing to the overall educational progress of the institution. The competition takes the form of a multiple-choice test. At each level of participation, the first prize is awarded at the country level to the students who earn the highest sum of points at their level. Likewise, first prizes are also awarded at the school level. In addition, other prizes are awarded at each level of participation. All participating students receive a certificate. The competition consists of a single test for each subject (mathematics, science and linguistics); there are no preliminary or final rounds. The competition is held at school premises under the supervision of the a designated Lead coordinator assigned by the principal.
