About Dominican Association of Free Zones (ADOZONA)
The Dominican Association of Free Zones, or ADOZONA, represents free zones throughout the Dominican Republic. We are managed by the General Assembly of Members, ensuring that all initiatives and activities are supported by the businesses and organizations located within the Dominican Republic’s business parks. Our mission is to ensure that DR free zones are adequately represented both nationally and internationally, and foster growth for the nation as a whole by attracting manufacturing and production of goods and services. We also promote the development of free zone companies, helping to ensure profitability, growth, and stability. ADOZONA is a private and not-for-profit organization formed by free zone companies and associations, special free zones, private operators of industrial parks, and collaborating companies. It was founded on August 8, 1988 to represent and defend the interests of the Dominican Republic free zone sector and promote an ideal climate for the country’s development. ADOZONA was officially recognized by Presidential Decree No. 579-88 on December 18, 1988. At ADOZONA, we believe that the Dominican Republic is an ideal environment for business, supported by the fact that the DR boasts the largest economy in the Caribbean and the ninth largest in Latin America. Today, the Dominican Republic is the most visited destination in the Caribbean and enjoys one of the fastest-growing economies in the Western Hemisphere. Combine that growth with a business-forward stance, a robust legal system that ties directly to the laws of the U.S. and Europe, and a skilled workforce able to adapt to virtually any manufacturing needs, and it becomes clear why so many companies within the electronics, advanced manufacturing, and medical device manufacturing sectors are choosing to call the island nation home. Ready to make the move to the Dominican Republic? ADOZONA can help. Contact us today to learn more about how DR free zones can benefit your business.
