Advanced Radiology is a privately owned outpatient imaging facility centrally located in Mid-Missouri. Our team reads for more than 50 orthopedic physicians throughout Central Missouri and over 500 physicians across Missouri. Advanced Radiology of Columbia opened in June of 2003 with the vision of three local radiologists, Dr. Alan Hillard, Dr. Neal Meyer and Dr. Jamey Wright. Members of their group, Columbia Radiology, Ltd had provided première diagnostic service to local physicians for over 30 years. The goal of these three radiologists was to provide an outpatient diagnostic facility that was more than high tech machinery. They knew the information physicians need from diagnostic procedures to treat their patients effectively and efficiently should be provided immediately. It was their dedication to patient care that formed the goal of turning around reports for physicians the same day an exam was performed. Achieving this goal, plus staffing the facility with friendly and superbly trained staff guaranteed success. Intelligent, knowledgeable staff schedule patients effortlessly and check them in with ease. Patients relax, sit by the fireplace and enjoy a cup of gourmet coffee before their exam is performed by highly experienced technologists. It is this gentle-yet-thorough approach that allowed Advanced Radiology to expand their business from basic diagnostic exams in MRI, CT, Ultrasound, X-ray and Fluoroscopy to the addition of outpatient image guided procedures. The depth of expertise within the group includes neuroradiology, musculoskeletal radiology, general as well as cross-sectional and interventional radiology. Special interests encompass a number of interventional procedures including, myelography, neuroforaminal injections US guided fine needle thyroid biopsies . Advanced Radiology expanded their diagnostics to include Cardiac CTA/Calcium Score and the expertise of a level II Cardiac Radiologist.
