Advanced Physiotherapy and Injury Prevention

At Advanced Physiotherapy we provide Injury Prevention, Injury Rehabilitation and Occupational Health Services to sporting organisations, individuals and businesses across the Newcastle/Lake Macquarie and Hunter Region. We manage a broad range of musculoskeletal disorders and have built a unique facility, for optimal management of osteoarthritis, tendon inuries, post-operative conditions, sports injuries, and back pain. Our injury management philosophy is derived from elite sport, with several of our staff having worked with national level teams, in particular the Newcastle Jets. Our approach and facility provides elite athlete treatment to everyone. Reflecting this we have been appointed the head Physiotherapist for a number of sporting organisations including Northern NSW Football, due to our special interest in children's sporting injuries. In fact about half of the sports injuries we see are in the 10-18 year range. Other services include chronic disease management through one to one consultation and exercise classes supervised by a qualified, registered exercise physiologist. The classes include: Weight loss programs Lungs in Action Osteoarthritis management Our Occupational Health Services include: Pre-employment Assessments Drug and Alcohol screening Occupational Rehabilitation Onsite workplace Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology For patients that want to mantain their results after rehabilitation or if you just want to lose weight and get fit we offer personal training in small supervised group sessions, 6 sessions per day Monday to Friday.
