Æura Æra champions the inclusion of coaches as paraprofessionals within an OT-informed model, creating new access points for care and building sustainable infrastructure to support over-extended systems. We hold a special focus on post-traumatic stress and a deep reverence for those who carry it as a result of service and sacrifice. At the same time, we recognize a vital truth: trauma is relative. Its manifestations are unpredictable. Its regulatory demands shift moment to moment. When paired with co-occurring concerns and fluctuating individual capacity, a person can easily be left unmoored. Therapy alone was never designed to help us practice life; it was designed to engage the mind.
