I use an integrated approach, meaning that I combine different methods and practices depending on the needs and desires of my clients. I know that the number one best practice leading to positive therapy outcomes, relies on the trust and relationship between therapist and client. For this reason, I combine humanistic and person- centered approaches and strive to understand what my clients are experiencing with multiple lenses. My graduate degree is from the Brown School at Washington University in St Louis. I have received additional training, certification and experience through other agencies including through the MO Dept of Mental Health, McCallum Place, The Center for Body Trust and additional post graduate certifications from Washington University in St Louis. I have assisted on the development of ideas and research for Dr. Rebecca Lester’s book, Famished- Eating Disorders & Failed Care in America. I have also created trainings at Optum advising on the application of Behavioral Health Scoring Tools (LOCUS, CASII, ECSII and ASAM) in the Utilization Review process for Eating Disorders.
