American Friends of HelpAge India (AFHI) is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization established to channel the tremendous power and goodwill of the Indian American diaspora and well wishers of India in support of HelpAge India, one of India's most reputable non profit organizations. HelpAge India has been working in India for over 40 years to care for India's vulnerable elders in remote parts of the country. The organization focuses on direct interventions in the areas of Disaster Response (Covid-19 vaccine facilitation, relief response); Healthcare (mobile healthcare units, cataract surgeries, end stage cancer care), Agecare (toll free helplines to help elders in distress, senior care homes, physiotherapy), Livelihoods (elder-self-help groups; linkages with government schemes) etc.
