AF Distributors was founded in 1980 and remains privately owned by the Richardson Family and proudly based in Phoenix, Arizona!
Don & Debbie Richardson founded Arizona Fasteners in 1980 by selling nails and fasteners out of a Datsun pick up truck. Hard work, drive & dedication are values that the company was founded on and still an important part today’s culture.
In 1984 the Phoenix building market exploded resulting in a high demand for hardware needs.The customers we’re predominantly framers that needed nails and fasteners for new home construction. The framers would receive their draw/payment from the home builder when the fireplace was installed. Unfortunately the local Fireplace supplier during that time did not carry inventory and would take 2-3 weeks to install the fireplace. This caused a delay in payment to the Framers and then to Arizona Fasteners. The framers told Arizona Fasteners that they could pay faster if AF supplied the fireplace. Arizona Fasteners entered the Fireplace business in 1984 DBA Arizona Fireplaces.
Over the next 10 years the fireplace business became the back bone of the company. As sales grew so did the inventory and buying power. This allowed Arizona Fireplaces to start a distribution division which is now called AF Distributors. As the distribution company evolved there was also a need for local warehousing and distribution for BBQ Grills. Arizona Fasteners started with the Australian BBQ brand “BeefEater” in 2001. AF Distributors currently carries over 30 brands ranging from BBQ Grills, Outdoor heating, Gas logs, Fire pits, Outdoor fireplaces, Outdoor Refrigeration & island accessories.
AF Distributors mission is to make its dealers successful through large inventory, 24 hour shipping, high dealer margins, technical support, aggressive display programs, extended terms and pre-paid freight programs. AF Distributors promises to carry the industries best products at the most competitive pricing on the market.
