Against Child Trafficking (ACT)

Against Child Trafficking (ACT) is a globally recognised nonprofit organisation, officially registered in the Netherlands. Our primary mission centres around preventing child trafficking for intercountry adoption. ACT is an advocate for child rights and promotes social policies in alignment with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, which is the universal standard and the best safeguard against child trafficking. ACT plays a pivotal role in monitoring intercountry adoption practices on a global scale and conducts extensive research on child rights issues, with a particular emphasis on the well-being of children who lack parental care and those who have fallen victim to trafficking. We function as a dedicated Documentation & Research Center, collating invaluable data that serves various local, regional, and international child rights and human rights NGOs, as well as individual child rights advocates and legal professionals dealing with child trafficking issues. Furthermore, we work closely with the media to disseminate critical information. ACT also alerts international organisations and national governments to specific cases of child trafficking for intercountry adoption. Our commitment extends to providing assistance to the victims of child trafficking, including both parents and children.
