SOS Children's Villages Thailand

SOS Children’s Village is a place to care, nurture and support orphans, abandoned children and children with difficult circumstances through our family support and care programs. We want to ensure that every child and young person grows up with the bonds they need to become their strongest-self. SOS Children’s Villages Thailand that was found in 1971 to help Thai children who lost parental care by providing the quality alternative care in SOS family, a family-like care environment. Because we believe that every child belongs to a family and grows with love, respect and security. We help children to develop their individual skills, interests and talents. We support children to experience a loving home and family. We help them shape and sharp their own future and to become independent as well as successfully integrated into society. Presently, there are around 600 children and young people in the care of SOS Children’s Villages in 5 locations over Thailand, Bangpoo, Hatyai, Nongkhai, Chiang Rai and Phuket. We also speak up for each child's rights and advocate for change so all children can grow up in a supportive environment. Together with partners, donors, communities, children, young people and families, we enable children to grow up with the bonds they need to develop and become their strongest selves. For almost over 50 years working in Thailand, there are almost 600 care leavers.
