Our mission is to enhance the well-being of older adults, helping them enjoy a fulfilling and socially connected life. We offer a welcoming place to meet friends, take part in activities, and enjoy a freshly prepared, nutritious meal—with the option to take sandwiches home for later. We also provide information and support when needed, offering a vital lifeline that helps maintain independence and quality of life—things we often take for granted in our younger years. What Do We Do? At Age Concern Sandwich, we provide a wide range of vital services to help older people live independently and with dignity. These include: • Day Centre Services – A warm, welcoming space where older people can socialise, engage in activities, and enjoy a nutritious meal. • Meals on Wheels – Delivering fresh, hot meals to those who are unable to prepare food for themselves. • Dementia Support – Specialist support groups and activities designed for those living with dementia and their carers. • Wellbeing Activities – Exercise classes, crafts, and entertainment to promote mental and physical health. • Information & Advice – Guidance on benefits, housing, and other essential services. • Befriending Services – Providing companionship and emotional support to prevent loneliness and isolation. • Charity Shop – Selling donated items to raise funds for our essential services. To continue providing these essential services, we rely on donations, corporate sponsorships, and community partnerships.
