AgeInc believes that age discrimination is the last socially acceptable form of prejudice in Australian employment – and we want to do something about it. Our hope is that every Australian employer becomes age inclusive and promotes an inclusive and diverse working environment. Because age inclusivity isn’t a nice to have. The importance of recruiting and critically, retaining, people aged 50+ is becoming ever more important to the future success of organisations as well as the diversity agenda. Failing to hire more workers aged 50+ will have far reaching consequences for both individuals and society as a whole, impacting economic prosperity, social well-being, and the fabric of communities. More organisation’s embracing age diversity and inclusion is essential for creating a more equitable and sustainable future for everyone.
