Aghaaz is a student-run, social entrepreneurial initiative of Lady Shri Ram College under NSS, that revolves around the concept of equitable development and strengthening of women led economies through self-sustenance. It aims to generate income for the women in urban slums and villages in Delhi NCR and help them become financially independent and self-reliant. It imparts entrepreneurial and stitching skills to underprivileged women and enables them to fashion a wide range of accessories including pouches, tote bags and earrings. The income these women receive from the sale of their products give them a secondary source of income that increases their financial stability.
