AIM to AID

High Schoolers AIM to AID is a 501(c)(3), Presidentially -Recognized, non profit organization that desires to assist the refugees arriving in the Houston area and the United States as a whole. Our non-profit organization plans to collaborate with other organizations, raise funds for refugees, and assist refugees with adapting to their new surroundings. Above all, we launched AIM to AID in order to help those in need of assistance within the country they migrated to. AIM to AID plans to collaborate with other organizations within the Houston area and Texas to ensure refugees arriving in Houston are amply prepared and have the proper materials to make sure they feel secure. We plan to host donation drives to get items that these refugees will need for their new houses, including cooking utensils, toiletries, religious items such as prayer mats and the Qur'an, and other household items. Along with that, we plan to raise money that will be donated to different organizations that are also assisting refugees, including the Refugees Services of Texas and the Interfaith Ministries of Greater Houston. Finally, we plan to create brochures that include information about the Houston area, Texas, and the United States so that refugees can learn more about the city, state, and country they came to. We hope to bring attention to the refugee crisis in the United States and the hardships these migrants face to the youth of Houston, whether it be through normal communication with classmates or speeches at local schools. Whatever it is, the AIM to AID organization plans to do whatever it takes to assist new refugees in Houston.
