About Akadia: Disability and Aged Care Training and Community Care
Akadia Training is a company that provides workforce development solutions for the aged care and disability sectors. Our philosophy is that community services and training organisations in partnership can achieve improved workforce skills, staff retention and consumer satisfaction through the provision of high quality professional development opportunities. Akadia understands that every organisation has different training needs and requires different delivery models to fit in with the very busy schedules of Community Service Organisations. We promise to work with you to develop a delivery model that suits your organisation. We also understand that individuals learn and respond differently to education. We promise that each individual that we train will have the opportunity to access training that suits their requirements. Akadia Training is an RTO (RTO Code 32526) that provides a range of accredited and non-accredited training programs with a variety of delivery models across Queensland to Aged Care, Home and Community Care and Disability organisations. We offer a range of contextualised nationally endorsed qualifications and professional development workshops. Certificate III qualifications are considered to be the entry level qualification into the community services sector and are suitable for new and existing employees. Certificate IV qualifications are appropriate for those who want to increase their level of skill and knowledge or may be acting in a supervisory role. The professional development workshops we can provide will be delivered in your workplace, be supported by easy to read notes, referenced to appropriate industry standards and legislation, and can include your workplace policies and procedures to ensure the training is relevant. Akadia Training will also provide individuals from your organisation with a certificate of participation which will include an outline of the elements covered in the workshop.
